What are cookies?

What type of cookies are there?

According to the managing entity:

Own cookies: those sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the editor itself and from which the service requested by the user is provided.

Third party cookies: those sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain that is not managed by the editor, but by another entity processing the data obtained through the cookies.

According to the period of time, they remain active in the terminal equipment:

Persistent cookies: they are a type of cookies in which the data is stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed during a period defined by the person responsible for the cookie, which can range from a few minutes to several years.

According to  the purpose for which the data obtained through cookies is processed:

Technical cookies are those that allow the user to browse a web page, online site or application and use its services or functions, such as accessing restricted areas, remembering the elements of a cart, carrying out the registration process, storing content for the dissemination of videos, etc. (Technical cookies do not collect personal data)

Performance cookies store user experience preferences. For example, if a user has selected a preferred language. (Performance cookies do not collect personal data)

Analytical cookies are used to determine the use of a site, they can track an individual user, but only to the extent that they allow users to travel through the site. (Analytical cookies collect personal data)

Marketing/Advertising cookies are specifically designed to collect information from you on your ad display device to send you advertising based on relevant topics that interest you. The information that cookies collect about you may be shared with other advertisers to improve the performance of their ads. In addition, another purpose of advertising cookies is to accumulate website visitors to gather statistics on the performance of advertisements that may appear on many websites.
